Jesus’ death dramatically symbolized that His sacrifice, the shedding of His own blood, was sufficient atonement for sins. The veil of the temple was rent in two. Rent distinguishes between the Holy and Unholy. Rent symbolizes two houses, groups or nations - the Righteous/Saved versus the Hypocrites/Lost. In 2 Corinthians 13, we are told to “Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves.”  Examining ourselves involves contemplation, or the vision of God in a perfected soul, is also described as a joining or uniting of the soul to God in loving union. Union, unity, in which whatever we breathe or think or speak about is God.  “Union with God.”  Think about it. God inspired. God directed. God involved somehow.   Do we talk like that?.. I want more of God? Do we think like that?.. Do you sense God between us? Do we share with others like that?.. Are we seeing God in our lives?
