Sermon Notes

This message starts with "It's not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live."  This message is a prelude to today's Sunday Service message so be sure to watch it as well. Often times we never really experience life because we fear the consequence of making a wrong move, as if it were going to make us very uncomfortable or even might harm us.  It's only when we take that extended step, step outside of our comfort zone, that we really start to experience the live that God has planned for us.

Pastor Mark speaks about viewing failure as an opportunity to learn and improve.  When Thomas Edison developed the light bulb he sought and tried thousands of materials before he finally succeeded? Once, his assistant complained, “All our hard work is in vain. We have gained nothing.” Thomas Edison replied calmly, “We have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We know that there are 2,000 elements that cannot make a good light bulb.”

Today’s lesson gives us a lot to think about.
